| Hindu Learning Center was founded with a vision to serve as a religious school for children to teach the rich cultural heritage of India, including its teachings on moral values, using the medium of stories, drama, arts and crafts, and discussion. Children are not only nurtured and taught popular Bhajans and Slokas with meaning but are also taught about various aspects of their religion and heritage, and, through this knowledge, can impart a strong moral foundation and a sense of identity to become productive citizens of our society. This was designed to nurture the young minds with basic values such as honesty, diligence, responsibility, valour and integrity and helping them grow into responsible leaders of tomorrow. The program fills a critical need in this fast-paced society where our children are confronted with a variety of conflicting choices by teaching them self-discipline, instilling a sense of responsibility, and enabling them to make the right choices that will lead to their own betterment and that of the society at-large. |
